Fire boat 8 is not the only Fire boat from Richmond to Sacramento. There is a Fire boat in between Pittsburg and Richmond. It's called the Fire Boat Port Chicago. It is the second largest Fire Boat in the Bay Area. Just slightly smaller than San Francisco Fire Departments Fire Boat Saint Francis.

I was a Firefighter at Station 9 when the District acquired their first aircraft, a De Haviland Beaver. We went on one deployment for a search in Lafayette. There is a very funny story to go along with this that I will share with the Honor, Dignity and Heritage Program soon. Nice new upgrades way beyond that initial aircraft!
